November 01 Maldives - now you know how the paradise looks likeafter short discussion, we just went to the travel agency nearby and booked our sommer holiday this year --> Maldives, this is our destination where I haven't dreamed of for long...
I've heard enough from friends, who have spend their holidays in Maldives, how blue the sky is, how cleanand quiet the sea is..and this time i can see it with my own eyes..finally..
We started our travel from Munich -> Dubai -> Mahle, the capital city of Maldives, from there to our island FILITHEYO, the only possible transport equipment was Maldivian Air Taxi (waterplane)... this is the main public means of transportation between Mahle and the most islands...
'Maldives' means the pear string on the sea, this name tells the general appearance of this country on the Indian Ocean. And this tells the truth, as I sat in the plane and looked down, thousands of islands seperated in the ocean just like a lot of pearls. No plane is allowed to land direct by the island, so we have to change our transport 500m away from the island. (there's a 3m*3m wood floating in the ocean, they call it 'Filitheyo International Airport' where we changed our transpor) tFrom there we have to take a boat to get closer to our destination...
The sea is pure, so clean that you can see 10-15m deep down with your own eyes, the sea changes it's colour from deep blue to light blue like saphire to green like jade and transparent at the end...the colour changes so peacefully and gentle
Our Bungalow faces to the sea, one of my favorite is the open shower, no door no roof, very erotic..you can take a shower directly under the palm and sun, but it's more beautiful at night, you can enjoy your shower under a sky full of stars, you can even see the milky way every night...
there're 250 guests and 300 service stuff, you get your own waiter from the first day till the end, they know your habit and your predilection, they've prepared your favorite wine and mineral water before you came...that's why they usually earn a good tip after the two-week-service. For the family in Maldives, it's a big luck to have someone in the family who works in one or the other resorts in Maldives, and this person has to take care of the whole family. No woman is allowed to stay overnight on the island, the most service stuff are men, women are only allowed to do some cleaning on the island and have to go back by boat in the evening...
Maldives is one of the best places in the world for snorkel, there you can see more than 300 spieces of fish, various jelly fish (I saw even one violet jelly fish), moraine, sharks...we went snorkel almost everyday, we can really get addicted... thousand fish swimming around you, some are brave enough to come quite closer, but the most of them just regard you as normal fish. i felt like a mermaid and spent almost 1 hour under the sea with all the other fishes...parrot fish, napoleon fish, kissing fish, all of them have unblieveable colour, they are gorgeous...
Every morning, after breakfast, we did 1-hour-yoga with our Indian Yoga teach, joji in front of the ocean, hear the wind breezing, light waves, you can really purify your mind...
Everyday, before dinner, we usually enjoyed a cocktail oder milk shake at the sunset bar and enjoy the great sunset... the sunset bar is around the swimming pool,I usually enjoy a green tea milkshake or a tequila sunrise in the afternoon and go swimming when the sun went slowly down...
Dinner: everyday we spent 2 hours for our gala-dinner, the restaurant changes the theme every 2,3 days and all the cookers have to change their outfit according to the theme. we got typical indian food, maldivian food, italy food, fresh Sushi and Sashimi, Moroccan or turky food...a wide range of desserts, almost no repeat during the whole holidays, fresh ice cream and sorbet, exotic fruit and so so so....
maldives is a pearl in the Indian Ocean and a small paradise on the earth, but , I would like to have more action in my next vacation...maybe Egypt??
